Wild Woody for Sega CD

Wild Woody is a 2D platformer developed by Sega Multimedia Studio and published by Sega. Released in September 1995, it was one of the final titles for the Sega CD platform. Players control Woody, an anthropomorphic pencil brought to life by a magical totem pole segment. Tasked with retrieving the scattered pieces of the totem pole, Woody uses his eraser to eliminate enemies and obstacles, and can sketch various items to aid in his quest.

The game features five themed worlds, each divided into two acts and a boss battle. Collecting eight puzzle pieces in the first act of each world unlocks a bonus stage, offering additional challenges and rewards. The soundtrack, composed by Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, adds a distinctive flair to the game's atmosphere.

Key Features:

  • Unique Erasing Mechanic: Use Woody's eraser to remove enemies and certain environmental elements.

  • Sketch Abilities: Draw items like bombs and platforms to navigate levels and defeat foes.

  • Bonus Stages: Unlock extra levels by collecting hidden puzzle pieces.

  • Animated Cutscenes: Experience motion-captured animations that advance the story.
